April 9, 2009--Austin, Texas The College of the State Bar of Texas is an honorary
society of lawyers who are among the best trained attorneys in Texas.
Members are qualified attorneys who are interested in both high ethical
standards and improved training for all Texas attorneys.
The
College recognizes Texas lawyers who attend at least double the
Continuing Legal Education (CLE) required by the State Bar of Texas. It
also issues annual awards, including: The Jim Bowmer Professionalism
Award, the Franklin Jones CLE Article Award and the Steve Condos CLE
Award for the most hours. The purpose of the College of the State Bar of Texas is: (1) to
recognize and encourage lawyers who maintain and enhance their
professional skills and the quality of their service to the public by
significant voluntary participation in legal education; (2) to promote
among members of the State Bar and the general public the educational
and public purposes of the College and its members; (3) to recognize
